Fit Body for Sports

Having a good set of fit body is what you need in order to have a total healthy well-being. Engaging into sports and physical activities will give you tons of health benefits that can surely help you build a strong and healthy body. According to Center for Disease Control who conducted a research study on how engaged Americans adults on physical activity revealed that only 20.6 percent of people met the total recommended amounts of exercise — about 23 percent of all surveyed men and 18 percent of surveyed women. People most likely to exercise were between the ages of 18 and 24 (almost 31 percent of exercisers). Those least likely to engage in physical activity were ages 65 and older (nearly 16 percent of exercisers) — this data is based on CBCNews 2013.

Being a health enthusiast and a gym instructor for almost 3 years now, I have already helped a lot of people who devoted themselves to self-discipline to achieve a more happy and healthy life. Being into sports are not for everybody since some people already had a previous illness that will not require them to engage into some extraneous physical activities. That is why I always require my clients to have a holistic annual check-up with their internist first before heading to the gym. Having a recommendation from the physician will make it easier for me to establish a good active working out program for my clients.

Before I started as a gym instructor I dedicated my time to different kinds of sports. One of my favorite activity back then was swimming and boxing. I was more into cardiovascular activities since I have a family history of diabetes and hypertension. My father was a type 2 diabetes patient and my mother was hypertensive. Type 2 diabetes is a progressive disease that cannot be treated but can be managed with the right treatment and proper management. I have witnessed how my parents disciplined themself to achieve a healthier lifestyle despite their condition. They would always instill in my mind the importance of sports and physical activity in our daily life. I started out doing jogging and brisk walking even at an early age with my parents. Every morning we would wake up early to do our early morning routine exercise. This is what I always suggest to my clients especially to those who are already starting. Jogging will help you build strong bones and muscles. It is also one of the cheapest kind exercise for you will only need one pair of good quality running shoes to achieve your goal to a healthier life. Mahatma Gandhi once said, “It is health that is real wealth and not pieces of gold and silver.”
